YEAH!!!
Where did you get this info?
I was there on Thursday to see Nick Harper. Nice venue but the sound wasn't great. I'll still be there though! |

Ha they'll be doing the overnight Margate (15th May) to Manchester (16th May) trip again, like they did for the Atherton gig!
I love this band! |

Hallo Reneho, wie geht's? I'm going to stop there as thats pretty much the extent of my German...eek...
full respect to you for coming all the way over for the gigs - thats fab support!
As Clash says, you can get a train from Margate to London St Pancras, the trains to Manchester go from Euston which is only one stop on the tube or a short walk up the road. Then its just a couple of hours on the train and you're in sunny Manchester! If you buy a ticket from margate to manchester it will include your tube travel...bingo!
I guess you might know about the best UK sites to get cheap train tickets but in case you don't, these ones are good, and you can order so you just pick the tickets up from a machine at the station, to save you postage costs. Think you should be able to order from outside the UK...

Also, not sure if you need anywhere to stay in Manchester, but there's a youth hostel place just up the road from the venue (you might remember), don't know what its like but it looks ok...here's a link:

ok well hope thats helped a bit, really hope you can make it over...if so, see you down the front!

hey annie,
thanks for all the information
so far it seems as we (and friend and me) are making it over
we'll stay in the student halls in manchester - i got some friends there and its for free - for travelling from london to manchester i was thinking about going by bus (megabus or something) which takes longer but its only 11 pounds for two people - anyone ever tried this?
next step for me is finding some cheap flights - thats probably the hardest part, but then everything is ready for the gigs
see you down the front for sure |

great gig as is the norm, my two new recruits seemed to really enjoy themselves too. Great to see you all again (you know who you are), shame I missed you Hayley (assuming you made it). Theres pictures and videos online (see links below).
Set list was:
cost of loving
please dont let it be you
this sorry scene
dirty little shop
floor fell away
long walk home
20 odd wrongs
not while I breathe
dissonance
these days
by the river
tuned to a different station
----------------------
winston smith
tarred and feathered
london bridge
And to end, an interesting fact:
The drummer from the 1st support "Carpe Diem" used to be in the Fall & Stone Roses! _________________ Mal
